Quick lookup

Quick lookup lets you quickly filter your library by authors, journals, folders, and labels. Use it to jump directly to a specific collection or filter without navigating through menus.

Use Quick lookup

 

To access Quick lookup, press @ in your library. A search box appears where you can type to find:

  • Authors: View all references by a specific author.
  • Journals: View all references from a specific journal.
  • Labels: Jump to a specific label.
  • Folders: Jump to a specific folder.
  • Starred: View your starred references.

Start typing the name you're looking for, then select it from the dropdown list. Paperpile will immediately filter to show the matching collection.

Tip: Quick lookup works anywhere in your library—press @ to instantly jump to folders or labels without using the sidebar.

You can also activate Quick lookup while searching. Click the slider button to show the advanced search options, then select Quick lookup.
