Manually install the Android app

The Paperpile Android app is temporarily unavailable in the Google Play Store while we develop a new version. If you already have the app installed, you can continue using it as normal. New users can install the app manually by downloading our official APK installation file.

Step-by-step installation guide

1. Download the app

1. Tap the link below to download the official app installation file (APK):
   • Download Link
2. If prompted, tap Download to confirm. You’ll see download progress in your browser:
   

2. Open the downloaded file

When the download completes:

1. Swipe down from the top of your screen to open Notifications.
2. Tap the downloaded .apk file.

3. Allow installation from this source

Android will ask for permission to install apps from outside the Play Store. This is a standard security feature and is safe when installing from official sources like Paperpile.

1. When you see the prompt, tap Settings.
2. Switch on Allow from this source.
   

4. Install the app

After allowing installation from this source:

1. Tap Install.
2. Wait a few moments for the installation to complete.
3. Tap Open to start using the app.
   

Common questions

Do I need to reinstall if I already have the app?

No. If you already have the app installed, you can continue using it as normal.
