Enterprise subscriptions

Many large companies and for-profit research institutes provide Paperpile to their employees and affiliates with an enterprise subscription.

Whereas a smaller team subscription may be purchased self-serve through the Paperpile web application, enterprise subscriptions often include additional technical integration (e.g. single sign-on configuration) and contracting work that goes through the Paperpile sales team.

Enterprise subscriptions include all available Paperpile features, priority support, and custom security reviews and/or integration work as applicable.

Enterprise pricing

Enterprise subscriptions are priced in one of two ways:

  • Unlimited seats / site license: this is the most flexible model, where anyone in the organization may sign up for and use Paperpile. Pricing is based on the FTE equivalent size of the organization.
  • Seat-based subscription: an organization may pay for a pre-set number of paid seats in advance.

Renewing your enterprise subscription

Paperpile will reach out to your organization’s designated Paperpile administrator in advance of the subscription expiration. We generally like to initiate renewals 2-3 months before the subscription period ends, to allow time for contracting.

It’s important that Paperpile has an up-to-date point of contact in your organization. The ideal individual is someone who:

  • Has decision-making authority for software purchases in their purview, and
  • Understands the needs of researchers in their organization, or, ideally, is an active researcher themself.
